After The Replacements first break up in 1991, founding bassist Tommy Stinson formed Bash & Pop and released one album, 1993’s Friday Night is Killing Me. The band broke up soon after it’s release, and Stinson went on to put out two solo albums under his own name. Tommy Stinson is now returning to the Bash & Pop project after a 22 year hiatus. Following The Replacements’ reunion tour last year, he decided that he would go back in the studio to record a new Bash & Pop album which is due out in 2017. In honor of the resurgence of the band, Bash & Pop’s seminal debut album will be released on vinyl for the first time ever on January 24th 2017.
